Delivered Social is proud to announce a new partnership with South Wales Coastal Rowing Club, the Barry Island charity that is opening up coastal rowing to people of all ages and abilities.
As part of Delivered Social Green, the corporate responsibility programme through which Delivered Social supports charities with their websites, the team will design and build a brand new website for South Wales Coastal Rowing Club, due to launch in the coming months.
Formed in 2021, South Wales Coastal Rowing Club is based on the coast at Barry Island. Its vision is to make the sport accessible to everyone, whether people want to row competitively, recreationally or through adaptive rowing. The club offers a friendly and inclusive welcome to newcomers and experienced rowers alike, with two free trial rows and low joining fees for anyone who decides to stay.
Members row in fixed-seat Celtic longboats, which carry four rowers and a cox, and in coastal sculling boats designed for single rowers or small crews. Longboat events take the club along the Welsh coast for league racing, distance races and social rows, while sculling gives rowers the chance to build their technique and confidence on open water. Alongside time on the sea, the club puts real value on land training and the physical and mental health benefits that rowing brings.
The new website will give the club a clear, modern home online. It will make it easier for people to find out about trial rows and sessions, for new members to sign up, and for supporters and local businesses to follow the club’s racing and community activity.
South Wales Coastal Rowing Club joins a growing community of more than 700 charities that Delivered Social supports through its Green programme.
