Delivered Social is proud to announce a new partnership with Wakefield Riding for the Disabled Association (Wakefield RDA), the West Yorkshire charity that brings the benefits of horse riding to disabled children and adults across the Wakefield district.
As part of Delivered Social Green, the corporate responsibility programme through which Delivered Social supports charities with their websites, the team will design and build a brand new website for Wakefield RDA, due to launch in the coming months.
Wakefield RDA provides horse riding and equine therapy for adults and children with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs. Its sessions are about far more than riding: they help build confidence, strength and independence, and give riders an experience they might not otherwise have the chance to enjoy.
The charity is based at Wood Lane in Chapelthorpe, near Wakefield, and is powered by a dedicated team of around 95 volunteers. Volunteers help care for the horses and support riders during sessions, and both riders and volunteers can work towards training and qualifications through the charity.
The new website will give Wakefield RDA a clear, modern home online. It will make it easier for families to find out about riding sessions, for new volunteers to get involved, and for supporters and local businesses to donate, fundraise and follow the charity’s work.
Wakefield RDA joins a growing community of more than 700 charities that Delivered Social supports through its Green programme.
Jonathan Bird, Founder of Delivered Social, said: “Wakefield RDA does something truly special: it gives disabled children and adults the chance to ride, build confidence and feel the freedom a horse can bring. With 95 volunteers behind them, they deserve a website that shows off that work and makes it easy for new riders, volunteers and supporters to find them. We’re proud to help them get there.”
Wakefield RDA’s new website is expected to go live in the coming months, and we look forward to sharing it once it launches.
