Better Planet Education is proud to announce that its recent fundraising campaign with The Big Give’s Green Match Fund has raised over £13,500 to support the expansion of environmental education in UK primary schools.

The funds will go directly towards increasing access to Better Planet Schools, an online education platform offering termly modules on key environmental themes such as biodiversity, climate change, waste, and sustainable living. These classroom ready resources are designed to help children develop a deeper understanding of the world around them, while supporting curriculum goals and encouraging practical, positive action.

The campaign ran from April 18 to April 25, 2025, during which all donations were matched pound for pound, effectively doubling the value of every contribution. The successful campaign reflects growing support for sustainability focused education and the importance of giving young learners the tools to understand and address environmental issues.

Better Planet Education, formerly known as the Young People’s Trust for the Environment, is a UK based charity dedicated to helping young people understand environmental issues and take practical steps towards sustainability. The organisation provides free access to a wide range of teaching resources for all age groups, including lesson plans, assemblies, home learning packs, and over 200 fact sheets covering species, habitats, climate change, and more. These materials are designed to support schools in delivering high quality environmental education that inspires lasting change.
