GalleryDock Introduces a Single Website Access Point for Photographers’ Client Galleries

Independent photographers in the UK can now give customers one destination on their own website to access separate photo galleries. GalleryDock introduced its central gallery access feature on October 11, 2026, allowing clients to enter their gallery password and open the corresponding collection through an embedded entry point.

The feature is designed for photography businesses handling multiple customer projects. Instead of creating a new website page for every shoot, a photographer can add one access page and direct clients to it when their photographs are ready. GalleryDock continues to host the collections, while the embedded access point sits within the photographer’s existing website.

A simpler route from booking to delivery

For wedding, portrait and commercial photographers, the delivery of finished images is an important stage of the customer relationship. Clients may first encounter the business through its website, browse a portfolio there and return for information before a shoot. A consistent gallery access page gives them a familiar place to return when the finished work is available.

The change concerns how clients reach their images. A shared access page does not combine different customers’ photographs into a public collection. Each gallery remains separate, and visitors enter the password associated with the collection they want to open. Photographers still need to organise their galleries and provide the correct access details to each recipient.

This can be particularly useful for small studios and self-employed photographers who manage their own websites alongside shooting, editing and customer communication. The same delivery address can be included in messages to different customers, reducing the number of individual website pages the photographer needs to maintain.

Adding gallery access to an existing website

Photographers set up the entry point by copying an embed code from GalleryDock into a compatible HTML or embed block in their website editor. The website platform and chosen plan must support embedded content. The feature does not require photographers to rebuild their portfolio website, although placement and layout should be checked before it is shared with clients.

A navigation item such as “Client Galleries” can make the access page easy to find. Photographers can then explain in their delivery message where clients should enter their gallery password. Testing on both desktop and mobile helps confirm that the access instructions and gallery display work as intended.

Password access also needs to be understood correctly. Anyone who receives a valid shared gallery password may be able to open that collection; the password does not independently verify the visitor’s identity. Photographers should distribute access details carefully and review the relevant gallery settings before delivery.

An international option for UK photography businesses

Based in Hannover, Germany, GalleryDock became available internationally in English on September 24, 2026. Its central gallery access feature extends that offering for English-speaking photography businesses, including those serving customers in the UK.

Alongside online photo delivery, the software provides client photo selection, a print shop within galleries and video feedback tools for filmmakers. These functions address different parts of the creative workflow, from sharing finished photographs to collecting selections or reviewing a video with a client.

Photographers can start with a free account that includes three galleries and 1 GB of storage. Additional capacity and features depend on the selected plan. Businesses can use the initial galleries to assess their presentation and delivery workflow before deciding whether they need a larger plan.

For photographers evaluating client gallery software, the practical questions include how customers find their images, how access is controlled and whether the delivery process fits the existing website. The new central entry point focuses on those everyday steps, providing one website destination while keeping individual customer collections separate.
