HiLife Pools is in the running for One-Piece Pool Project of the Year at the UK Pool & Spa Awards 2026, with a family pool that went from breaking ground to first swim in just 19 days.

The entry, The Barber Project, started with a clear brief: a beautiful family pool, ready in time for a 50th birthday celebration. With the party date set, there was no room for delays.

19 days from first dig to first swim

The HiLife team installed a 10.4m x 3.6m one-piece pool alongside the family’s tennis court, turning an ambitious deadline into a finished pool the family could actually swim in on the big day.

Smart decisions on site kept the programme moving without cutting corners on the finish. Temporary landscaping made the garden celebration-ready in time for the party, and the natural sandstone patio was completed later in the summer.

A pool that feels like it has always been there

The aim was never to over-design the space. Instead, the pool was planned to sit naturally within an established family garden, creating a relaxed setting for swimming, entertaining and everyday family life.

Clean lines, Fossil Pearl copings and a natural sandstone surround give the finished pool an understated, elegant look. The full specification includes:

• An Aspen one-piece pool, 10.4m x 3.6m, in Moonlight
• Integrated moulded steps
• An integrated solar slatted roller cover
• A Polytropic Otto heat pump
• Fossil Pearl copings with a natural sandstone patio

Public voting is now open

The Barber Project is one of the entries in the Residential Swimming Pool Awards, and public voting is now open. To vote, register on the UK Pool & Spa Awards website, log in, and then vote for The Barber Project.

Voting opened later than planned this year, so if you’d like to support HiLife Pools, it’s best to cast your vote sooner rather than later.

Winning the category would give HiLife Pools the One-Piece Pool Project of the Year badge to display on its website and social channels, recognising the work that went into delivering the project on such a tight timescale.

The winners will be announced at the UK Pool & Spa Awards evening on 10 December 2026.
