A ground-breaking Fareham-based company is making waves across the globe by combining artificial intelligence with live performance – and grabbing the attention of major international brands in the process.

Performit Live, a creative technology studio headquartered in Fareham, recently partnered with Universal Studios and Ocean Outdoor UK to launch M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to the cult-hit film M3GAN. The activation took place in Westfield Stratford City, one of the UK’s busiest shopping centres, where passers-by were stunned to meet a life-sized digital version of the film’s main character. Powered by real-time motion capture and AI, the character could recognise and speak to individuals in the crowd, creating an experience more personal and immersive than anything seen on a standard advertising screen.

“Bringing M3GAN 2.0 to life in such a bold, public-facing way was an incredible opportunity, working with Universal and Ocean Outdoor to blend real-time performance with cutting-edge AI technology was a perfect showcase of what we do best creating unforgettable, immersive experiences” said Jon Dalzell, Co-founder and CEO of Performit Live.

The project is just one of many for the Hampshire team, who recently returned from Saudi Arabia after showcasing their work at the prestigious Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo in Riyadh. There, The Fareham based company demonstrated how British innovation is helping redefine global entertainment and audience engagement.

With clients ranging from global film studios to high-street retailers, the team at Performit Live continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible when live performance, AI and storytelling collide – all from their base right here in Fareham.
